And whatever you do, don't disrespect him and the car by treating it like shiat, but I get the feeling that that's not going to be an issue with you based on your history. I'd love to hear about your first drive in the car and how you must have felt to finally be behind the wheel of "the car of your dreams". I think there are a lot of people here who can relate to that feeling, including myself. Congrats. :)

Oh this car is my baby. I get mad when people get near it. I freak out about finger prints and go down and say good morning to her everyday I can. It's almost unhealthy.

As for my first drive... after I got over the initial fright it was heaven. Literally, heaven. I've had her for 3 weeks and I'm still in shock about the whole thing. I think I'd be able to give you a better description of my feelings when I get her out of the shop and it really settles in that this is my car...my baby. Plus, the carbs were so shot I was afraid to drive her. It's going to be so much more amazing when she's all fixed up and ready to go.

I'd love to get together sometime to discuss Zs. I'm currently in the process of getting mine back on the road but should be done before the end of this month of things go my way. I'm in the finishng stages of a complete suspension rebuild, wheel & tire replacement, brake upgrade, and general clean-up. I'm hoping to be ready for the Blackhawk event and the MSA show in LA.

BTW, Is that a signature from Mr. Katayama on the air cleaner that I see there?

I saw your Z up for auction a couple of weeks ago. It's done up really well and I love how the car has been shaved of all the extras. Makes for one really nice clean car with some sweet lines. In fact, when I get around to re-spraying my Z I am going to shave the gas tank like one your car, but my handles and locks will stay. Be sure to post some nice photos of the car in the gallery. Enjoy the car.

I am going to shave the gas tank like one your car,.

We're actually getting the gas tank put back on the outside. The fumes are too much to deal with. It was done really, really well but it still fumes for about ten minutes after pumping and gives me a horrible headache.

i must say, i just got mine about 3 or 4 weeks ago and i have had the chance to open it up and it kicks...... your are one lucky gal to have such a sweet ride and such a awesome dad..... ill be posting some pics of my car in the next few days, gonna start sanding and primering tomorrow.... but mine will never look like yours. congrats on the sweet car
