March 19, 200718 yr comment_202892 Did you notice the VIN HLS30-12427? That would make it the highest VIN known registered as a 1970 would it not? (putting all theories of the DMV finangilings aside) edit - My mistake, it's registered as a '71. Worth checking out further if your in the market. But if you check Arne's signature block (again....) you'll see he's listing VIN# "HLS30-12746, 10/70, 919 yellow (mostly) - L24 and 4 speed" So we either get on him again about fixing his signature..AGAIN...(), or HE has the higher of the two 70 VINs. Unless, of course, my abacus is wrong, but according to my slide rule (which I have a hard time working) that should be correct. March 20, 200718 yr comment_202898 It's similar to a carpenter's ruler ... except you don't have to unfold it, you just slide it back and forth a few times, then the heat of the friction makes smoke and ideas pop into your head.... And who is picky? HLS30-37705, 7/71, 905 red - 98% original with 60,000 miles...should that be 100% original at 58,800 miles, then....or ? E No. I've deducted an arbitrary 2% for the sunroof. So it's been at 98% for most of its life. March 21, 200718 yr comment_203130 This car is back on Craigslist again, now at $13k.http://portland.craigslist.org/wsc/car/296850919.html I contacted (email) the owner today and offered to buy the car, this was his reply. Jerry, Thanks for the interest but I would not feel comfortable selling this car to any one other then a collector. Eric Am I missing something here? March 21, 200718 yr comment_203138 So he only wants it to go to a "collector" but he offered it on eBay? I agree, we're missing something here. How many Zs do you have to have before you're a "collector"?
