Thanks for the reply. So it seems that the cheapest and easiest way to figure out the halfshaft issue is to take the stub shafts from the 280Z and clip them into the r200, and then the stock 240Z halfshafts will bolt right up.

Sounds perfect for me, I'm not looking for massive torque. I may get my head and intake port and polished and maybe a mild cam, but not anything too aggressive.
