March 26, 200718 yr Author comment_203714 not for this car. its 100% original, so a fuel would kill the resale value, as it will be for sale if i ever find a tank.i do have my 77 that i am keeping. i thought of switching to a cell on that, but i just dont have the time to mount it properly right now. to many projects at once is a headache this[------------------------------------------------------------------------------------]bigthankstony Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/23732-i-realllllly-need-a-gas-tank/#findComment-203714 Share on other sites
March 26, 200718 yr comment_203715 Here's an option... take the tank out of your '77 and replace that with a fuel cell. Put the '77 tank into the '76. (sorry in advance if these two years aren't compatible... I don't know the 280z that well) Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/23732-i-realllllly-need-a-gas-tank/#findComment-203715 Share on other sites
March 27, 200718 yr comment_203727 I know the 77 tank is different than a 76/75. Weather or not you can get it to work I'm not sure.I know a shop here in denver has one but it needs work I think the pickup tube is broken But I'm not real sure about that. I would have to call him ask.Eric Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/23732-i-realllllly-need-a-gas-tank/#findComment-203727 Share on other sites

March 29, 200718 yr comment_203969 Hey TonyHe wants 75/100 for it. I think it's thats high for a tank that the pickup tube needs to be fixed. Thats why I passed on it for my 75. Just how bad is the tank you have now? I read where POR15 will fill pin holes and such. I'll go over and take another look at that tank just the same it mite not be as bad as I remember. March 29, 200718 yr comment_203977 You might consider talking to the guys at the following url:http://www.gas-tank.com/They might be able to help you out...I had a pretty good caved in area on the bottom of my tank when I sent my tank to them. When I got it back you could not even tell where it was damaged...don't cost anything to ask...webdawg1 Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/23732-i-realllllly-need-a-gas-tank/#findComment-203977 Share on other sites
