theianmonster Posted March 29, 2007 Share #1 Posted March 29, 2007 Hey everybody, I know we all despise sunroofs, but I have one that I just pulled out of my '72. The glass and handle are in great condition, the trim was painted black but you could clean it back up.Make me an offer, I want it gone. Its taking up room.Thanks. =Enigma= Posted March 29, 2007 Share #3 Posted March 29, 2007 Hey everybody, I know we all despise sunroofsHey I may be in the minority, but I bought my car to drive it and to enjoy it. I could care less about the resale value and I love my sunroof!!!!!!

Walter Moore Posted March 29, 2007 Share #6 Posted March 29, 2007 Personally I wouldn't buy a sun roof on a NEW car... much less install one in my 35 year old classic. But to each his own.
=Enigma= Posted March 30, 2007 Share #7 Posted March 30, 2007 I used to think sunroofs were a bad thing until I got one myself.......Now all my vehicles have them. No leaks in any of them....ever. I guess when you live where it's sunny and 65-75 degrees most of the year, you learn to appreciate them a bit more. ;PBesides, chicks dig em'! theianmonster Posted March 30, 2007 Author Share #8 Posted March 30, 2007 I'm not trying to sell this to someone to destroy their roof, mearly to someone who needs to replace an old one.
EScanlon Posted March 30, 2007 Share #9 Posted March 30, 2007 Thank you Walter...that was informative. Are there any other nasty or filthy habits / traits that you feel we should know about? After all, I don't think the question was asked "What do you think about sunroofs?" but maybe I missed it....OHH!! That was your offer!!! Well, heck, that should make it easy to top..... Ian, will this retort do? I'll PM you so as to keep this away from "Enquiring" minds. E
1 Bravo 6 Posted March 30, 2007 Share #10 Posted March 30, 2007 Sunroof, .... SUNROOF, AAAAAARRRRGGGHHHHIf it's the type that drops down and slides back, made by COENEN, then, ........ if you're five feet nothing in your jocks and socks, ... you'll be O.K. BUT!!! if you're around the six feet tall mark, carry plenty of aspirin in the glove box. Rick.:devious: :devious:
theianmonster Posted March 30, 2007 Author Share #11 Posted March 30, 2007 This is the pop up style.
EScanlon Posted March 30, 2007 Share #12 Posted March 30, 2007 Besides Rick, since you're "down under" wouldn't the sunroof in your case be installed on the floor pan? Or what's the Aussie term...Buttock Pan? We're just going to have to post Rick's video contribution some time back, something about the toad population in Australia...which I can't find at this point.....
