twsutt Posted April 3, 2007 Author Share #13 Posted April 3, 2007 webdawg1 & MikeW,Thanks for the dimensions and pictures. The two of you have answered my questions with the thoroughness that I knew that I'd get from this forum. I love the beauty of Z cars and the meticulousness of their owners. Thanks again,
Duffman Posted July 12, 2007 Share #14 Posted July 12, 2007 I just purchased a spare tire cover off of e-bay, but it measured only 17 inches round! The seller is trying to tell me that Datsun made them large and small as original equipment, is this true? He says that this one just covers the full size spare tire, not the opening. Am I missing something? Thanks!

Am I missing something? Thanks! Stephen, I know that the later years of the S30 (I believe '76 - '78) had a collapseable spare that used a canister of compressed air to inflate it to full size. Perhaps the 17" cover is for that. Or the seller is either ignorant or ripping you off. I love eBay, but it is not without its pitfalls.
Rockr69 Posted July 27, 2007 Share #18 Posted July 27, 2007 To duffman, it is 17" and it does not cover the entire spare just the wheel, but I'm not claiming that it is original.
