maybe someone can help me.

i have a 78 280 with a rebiult engine with 35000 miles on it.

last week it started missing and back fireing real bad. i couldnt figure it out.

i took some compression tests and none of the cycliders will hold compression. im not hard on the car i dont even hot rod it. a leak down test showed it is loosing compression through the rings. it doesnt burn any oil.

any help would be apreciated. thanks

Sounds like slipped timing. I can't think of anything that would knock out all your rings at once. Have you puuled the valve cover to inspect the timing chain and cam, or even the valves to see if the timing slipped.
