Akir-ra Posted July 23, 2002 Share #1 Posted July 23, 2002 MSA has a fuel pressure regulator that has been recommended along wiht a newer model electric fuel pump as being benficial in my search for more power on a 74 260 with N42 block.. 2ManyZs Posted July 23, 2002 Share #2 Posted July 23, 2002 With carbs I would use a regulator to keep form over-pressurizing the float bowls and having problems with the carbs. Some electric pumps will put out too much pressure for some of the older carbs like SU's and even Webers. Not a bad idea IMO, just to be sure. ZmeFly Posted July 23, 2002 Share #3 Posted July 23, 2002 i had a terrible problem with dual webers on my 72 i had. the problem was the electric fuel pump pushing to much to my carbs. i know that webers only like between 2.5 to 3.5 max of pressure or you get serious tuning probs.
