April 7, 200717 yr comment_205067 Randy,Yes, I often wonder how time flies so fast..... I don't have any experience with Dynamat but it certainly has the reputation for being the best and the most expensive. Are you putting anything on top of the Dynamat? Let me know what you think when you get it installed. I will say that with the Second Skin product, I first laid it out in the driveway in the sun (you might remember what that is) since its about 80 here...and just let it set there as I was putting it in. Worked great. Of course, you should hit 80 degrees say about August or so????? BTW, have you register with the IZCC as an original owner. If not, you might want to consider it. Here is the site..... http://zhome.com/IZCC/ZRegisters/ Good luck with the install..... April 7, 200717 yr Author comment_205099 George,The Dynamat seems like a good product too but I think I would have gone with the Second Skin after talking with you and reading that article on the shootout. However, I saw this deal for Dynamat and ordered it a couple days before corresponding with you....In any event my plan was to put down a layer of Dynamat Extreme and then a layer of the Dynamat Liner on top of that.Good idea ...i will check with the IZCC and register..And lastly, believe it or not we had 82 degrees here on March 26. But just for a day. And it probably won't get back there until mid summer.... April 7, 200717 yr comment_205108 I used the same stuff as Beandip. I applied it to the roof and put the headliner over it. This was two years ago and she is still holding strong. I also applied it to the outer skin on my doors. First I POR-15'd the inside then applied the sound deadning matterial. April 7, 200717 yr comment_205122 I haven't used the Dynamat , but if I remember correctly , form when I was looking into this stuff , that it is a heavy product. I would certainly think about adding much weight to the doors. Also remimber I used over 75 sq ft of product and total it was only about 45 lbs. I would have done like ED and put the ultamate on the roof . However this was a new product to me and I was un sure of how it would react to the heat in summer. Now I wouldent hesitate and would use it on the roof. One advantage , I think , of the B-Quiet product is that the finish is not a tar based surface but aluminum.
