Floor jack

I have a Sears (Craftsman) 3 Ton SUV Floor jack. It has a high lift of 21 inches which is nice for getting some extra height on the jack stands. I also use this on my Ford Bronco. It goes as low as 6" on the low end and this fits nicely under the Z.

I use 3 ton jack stands as well they have a nice wide base and are very sturdy.

The only thing I don't like about this jack is that it doesn't have a rubber pad on the lift saddle...

Aside from safety features low profile is important so I only have to run the other cars up on a few 2x10's to get the jack under them. Looking online this morning Sears has a low profile aluminum for $99 ,but not in stock of course.

The jack is aluminum, low profile (range of 3.5" to 19.25"), rubber saddle and padded bar, quick lift design. I have used it yet, but it looks like it is good quality.

This is just a side note. On the Handel, to keep from accidentally damaging bumpers or painted surfaces I use a section of plumbing insulation . The gray close cell foam tube stuff . On my saddle I use one of my old ''lambs wool'' mittens that I used to wash my truck. I serves the purpose fine and there is no metal to metal contact . Gary

I just bought an aluminum jack from Sears on sale for $99. The only thing I don't like is that it tops out at 18". The 6-ton stands from HarborFreight are far more stable than the typical 2 or 3-ton stands. Buy them when they go on sale. Their 12-ton stands are great when doing major rear end or transmission work.

Anyone else run into the problem with the installation of the front air dam that the handle hits? My jack is low enough, but the first 2 inches I have to angle the handle in the hold so it can get enough travel to lift it. Stupid thing goes like half and inch before it hits the bottom of the air dam.
