kcoke Posted April 9, 2007 Share #1 Posted April 9, 2007 Does anybody have some close up pictures of how the 240z linkage looks like from the firewall to the balance tube? My linkage is sticking............... I belive it is because I am missing a piece? Is there suppose to be a a metal piece with a rubber grommet in it? Please let me know Thanks
Arne Posted April 9, 2007 Share #2 Posted April 9, 2007 Here you go. Late '71, built 7/71. But other 240Zs are similar, if not the same.
gogriz91 Posted April 10, 2007 Share #3 Posted April 10, 2007 My linkage is pretty much intact but I'm missing the master idle adjustment screw and the screw and spring that runs off the main linkage to the front carb. Does anyone know what size screws to ask a parts guy for or do I just need to get a whole new linkage?
Bruce Palmer Posted April 10, 2007 Share #4 Posted April 10, 2007 ... into the average parts counter and the average parts guy is going to give a blank stare and point you to the nut and bolt bins and wish you all the best..... "And don't forget to write the number down". Not just Z owners but all collector car owners have to start thinking of our selves as smarter than the average parts guy.....
