Datsun-240z Vs Fairlady-z432

I will second the "Fuel Pump" fuse thought. In the early cars, the wiring is extant in the harness for the fuel pump, you just have to add the fuseholder pigtail to connect to it. On the car Kats has, the fuse holder and pigtail is included factory soldered in the box.

Kats, I may have Kuraido Tomoyose's mobile phone number, if I can find it... I will PM it to you. He owned that 432 for years. He built the engine that was in my 1973 240Z (original matching numbers L24) Alas I sold that engine to someone other and installed an L28(T) along with many other goodies from RS Okinawa like HKS Surge Tank, Mikuini Carbs, RSST Springs...all the good stuff available in Japan that I simply never saw in the USA (at the time.)

Keep up the photos, and documenting differences. It's very interesting!

Hi everyone,

Tony D and Carl correct, the fuse is "electrical fuel pump" the holder is OEM and looks nice does not it?

Carl,the steering wheel is 35mm diameter.COMPE means COMPETITION,you right.

Joseph,I will ask Mr.Nishi for any plan making reproduction of cloth-braided hoses.I too think some demand in the world making good profit for the shops.

In Japan now really cold and not much driving and nothing new to post.

Just enjoy before and after of Z432's dash restoration.

Kats,

The pictures are great!

Thanks for posting them.

Did you paint the Heater Control Panel?

I have a NOS one that has a few thin spots in the paint, and it needs some attention.

ALso I have a brown switch like your ign switch that turns but does not switch, could you check the contacts on yours for me and post the connections?

Thanks,

Will

Hello,

Will, let me check later, the car and switch located very far from me.

240znz,I think Z432's is different from any other model, but HS30 and S30 are the same. You can see the attached picture of throttle linkage,Z432 has different from other model.

bpilati,do you have a stop watch like mine? With an Oscilater?

Today I show the Z432 duct wich has just reproduced. The original is made of soft plastic but repro is molded by FRP.

Probably no one out side of Japan will be interested in this, but if some one want to see..

And talking about a battery,it is smaller than the one you have(HLS30/HS30) .

You see the battery cap with a different frame.

Thank you Will:)

Have you ever seen these Japanese brochures/manuals ?These are all 1969 issued literatures except bottom right,a white parts catalog(1972)

Upper Left:Service manual / center:Service bulletin / right: giveaway at 1969 Tokyo motor show

Lower Left:folded catalog poster size / center: main brochure / right : owers manual / parts catalog

And Z432's magnesium wheel needs special nut(not special??)40224-E4200.

Is this same shape of the one which is used for common slotted wheel?

I have seen/held a couple of the manuals (2nd from the left on both the top and the bottom) you picture, one I have seen on Yahoo Japan, and three of the four corners are completely new to me.

I believe I have a PDF copy of the lower right corner.

Thanks again for posting these wonderful photos!

On the lugnuts, they are similar to all that I have seen used with slots, but not the same.
