Thanks Blue , GT40 is nice too , Superfomance is making a very nice replica which is cheaper than a real one ( still big money though ) .

Or , I found this , a group made a TIPO 33 replica for an endurance race in Japan . They picked up an used Honda Beat , then put hand made FRP body , they started from a model car . I think I want it  rather than expensive Dino , if someone making it and selling it . Here is a link ,

AUTO ART Japan presented me this TIPO 33 when they were making a Z432 , they were measuring and taking pictures of my car . I wish I could have skills of making FRP body . My friends would love to do the chassis work .

Sorry suddenly back to my 240Z story ,

I have a question about air cleaner horn flap , we do not have this flap in Japanese model , is this for a Northern Canadian customers   ?

R12 gas was filled by Mr.Okajima at Kyoto Nissan as usual.

Thanks grannyknot , and Alan .

The test drive late 1969 in the US and Canada , apparently the two test cars did not have the function because they are the earliest car ,  maybe they reported back to engineers in Japan  then it was added ? Or how about other Nissan SU carburetors cars , did they have the same function corresponding with S30’s update ?

So it appears switzerland was classified as a "cold area".
Both of my cars (built in late 1971) came with the additional flap and hose, as seen in this quite bad picture (the only useful one i found, right now), from before i took everything apart ?

AU market 240z's never had it, we got the "early style" airbox for all years 70-73.

73 AU market engine bay here.

You can tell it's a 73 because of the choke cable bracket on the far right and the throttle linkage in the middle of later SU's has an extra safety bracket.

See more images of car here.

We didn't get the airpump and all that gear until 1974 with the introduction of the 260z in Australia and flat top carbs etc..We got round tops all the way until the 240z finishes in 1973.
