Thanks Blue , I was so nervous because if the rust in the gas tank caused this problem , I was going to have a big trouble. By the way , I managed to return home with only three cylinders of operation, that was so wonderful. 

And a cold water poured method is cool ! 

Summer in Japan is now as hot as Las Vegas , NV . And as steamy as Philippine .

Thanks Alan , I am glad that you have the same experience of me , this bamboo grove is near my house. Before this shot , the path was so narrow and dirt , I was feeling like I was doing rally !

At Suzuka circuit last week  a special auction was held . Do you remember I posted a report of visiting S20 heaven last year ? Mr . Watanabe 

who raced GTR and built so many S20 for customers passed away last fall . It was just several months after I visited him . I still can’t believe it , he was so passionate about S20 , even he was making his own special head which can be directly mounted on S20 , working with a factory in Italy.

His huge collection was auctioned . Everything was supplied even a S20-000001 with a GTR restoration project, and also the last S20 “ 002722” with a Ken Mary restoration project . Just amazing .

I was so lucky that I won one thing , the race option Z432 exhaust manifold. This is going to be put on my spare S20 with other race option parts , and some Works parts .

My friend Mr. Shimoura got this Shelby Cobra 427 , CSX6000 series continuation model for his birthday, he turned 70 ! 
He let me drive it , it’s fast and so much fun !

I have picked the sports option exhaust manifold up at Suzuka circuit auction hall . Here is some comparison.

With this exhaust , I have decided to get Mikuni 44 type 2 , as listed in a Z432-R sports option catalog . I will show you more detail about it here when it arrives .

I am also a fan of the Type Q/Type 2 Mikuni 44's... but local legend has it that they don't stay in tune. Apparently the magnesium/alloy composite they are means that as they heat up they distort and create vacuum leaks, leading to poor tunability... At least that's what a local guru (who I trust knows more about them than me says). Have you heard of similar?

By the way is there any difference between the Z432-R option ones and the U20 Roadster versions?

I haven’t heard about the trouble, I will ask some people.

I don’t think there will be a big difference between them , maybe just linkage and fuel pipe connecter , jet setting ?

I had to decide let this Skyline GTR Mikuni 40 go to help a little bit for buying a set of 44 . They are totally original, not restored. I added re-plated brackets for the fuel pipe. 
 

Not related to the carburetor , I found this page ,  my blue 240Z was chosen for Mr.K and Mike , that was an autumn 2000 .Mike got the wheel , Mr. K was a navigator.
