WingZr0 Posted April 12, 2007 Author Share #13 Posted April 12, 2007 Sure, it's really messed up, but I see potential there. Pull out the sunroof and install a cloth targa top (like in the Renault CV's, original VW bugs, mini's, etc.), get some decent bumpers, and do some cleaning up of the interior. Of course none of that matters if the underbody is thrashed, but the shell appears at least workable from the photos. Not sure about the rear spoiler, looks like it is about to fall off, so who knows about the rest of it. The engine is a different matter though. Did anyone notice that the engine has no oil filter? Why would anyone pull that off prior to taking photos? As Gregg said, I think it could be a prime candidate for track use, or as a car to show "ricers" what a properly race modded car can do. But it would take a lot of work, that much is certain. haha it is ugly , tell you that. but.. if i had the money id buy it for 300 shipped to CA, strip out everything i MEAN everything, everything has to go..man. when i saw that i was like haha sucker my z is atleast somewhat stock looking compare to that hideous thing. hhaa but then again, fix it since its so dang cheap, cheap? that z should be for free, and 100 dollars for shipping.!!!! makes me glad i got a decent and stock looking z.:squareeye Assume Z!!!! Boy, that one of the sweetest Z's I've ever seen.....buy it before someone snatches it up. Wait a minute, April fools day was 10 days ago! I agree it would make a properly raced out car to smack a Ricer with :hurt: and would definately have some class wit a Targa Top. Only thing it would need is a roll cage of some type for bracing then we can all light Wooden Torches and have a proper Witch Hunt and Burning for the guy responsible for the Total lack of respect for a Z. Or Stone him with the Rusted Steel Panels we'd replace to fix it. :bandit: :tapemouth :devious: :rambo: And Surf, I'd loan you my LSD jus so you could park in front this guys house and yell, "This is what your car should look like! ! !", and PEEL OUT proper ! That is if he's the one responsible :cheeky: ~Z~

Looks like this Dark Blue and Black 4 door Toyota Cressida around the same year I saw in the parking at my job last night. Totally low to the ground and old lady taking care of looking clean, I was really impressed at the body lines of a clean simple design. Reminds me of the early 90's Subarus and Evos in downtown Tokyo :classic:

daddz Posted April 21, 2007 Share #23 Posted April 21, 2007 That AMCO wood shift knob would be a keeper! When is the last time you saw one of those for sale either new or used? Although Banzai Motorworks does sell a really faithful reproduction AMCO wood shift knob. Those OWL Goodyear Eagle GT's are definitely period correct! I tried to find a brand new set back in 1989 and they were scarce back then! That poor Z probably hasn't seen the road since the 1980's?
