Brake conversion kit, this all I need?

I found this kit on ebay for $588 w/ shipping. It does also include rotors for the front. Or I could get it for $443 w/ shipping instead without the front rotors. Does this kit include everything that I would need for a rear disc brake conversion? I was looking at getting drums, but to do brakes all around, it would only cost me between $100 and $200 extra just to go with the conversion kit for the rear instead of going with new drums.

I am not familiar with that kit, however, I have a question on the intended use for your car first. Will this car be driven on the street or on the track? For a street car, the kit should be fine. However, for a track car you could do better. I would go with vented disk in the front. Definitely stay away from slotted and cross drilled rotors. Under the extreme heat generated at the track, the rotors can crack. I saw one case on a Z06 Vette, where the rotor actually exploded when he was going into the braking zone. It pulled the car into a wall and scattered bits and pieces of the car all throughout the corner. The carnage tore off the whole left side of the car. Luckily the driver got off with a mild concussion.

Moral of the story, be sure the upgrade is right for the application.

i think you can piece one together cheaper.

msa sells the brake lines for roughly 50 bucks.

the brake pads using rear 240sx calipers is another 50.

you can get powerslot rotors for 50 bux each on summit racing.

the rear brake brackets are 165 from modern motorsports.

the only thing you would have to figure out is how to affix the

e-brake and sourcing some used rear calipers from a 240sx.

Hmm.... I will keep looking around. Though I am looking for something that offers everything and is simple to bolt on. I want the lest amount of hassle. Like forgetting about a part that might be needed, and having to mod to get the rear disc conversion on.

I might go to a local track once or twice a year maybe, but it is going to be a street car.

I have heard that cross-drilled / slotted brakes can burst, but only if you track the car.

For me, I won't be doing that much anyways. But cross-drilled / slotted brakes aren't necessary for me either. They are nice for show, but with the kind of rims that I have, you won't even be able to see them.

I know that I would like some Brembo rotors though. I have only heard good things from them.

I wouldn't mind getting this kit and using these rotors at first, because I would most likely get something different once they wear out.

If I were you, I would go with the Toyota 4x4 conversion for the front, with braided brake lines. Most of the braking is done up front anyway. The rear drums are adequate even at the track. I have used that set up with the vented rotors at the track for 3-4 years with outstanding results. The vented rotor set up is very wide though, so it may not fit under your wheels, depending on what you have. I know they fit under Panasports.

The pads also make a big difference. I have been using Axxis Utltimate, a Kevlar/ceramic combination.

So I am going to have to worry about this clearing and might have to tweak them a bit?

The kit at the Z store, that though is just a bolt on with no modifying?

The Autozone link does not work.

The Z Store kit appears to be the non-vented rotor set up, which is not as wide as the vented rotor calipers. You have not said what wheels you do have have. All I can tell you is that if you go with the vented calipers (wide ones) and have wheels with a flat center section, they will rub. The Panasports cleared because the spokes bow outward. Rewinds also rub, but you can grind down the caliper to gain enough clearance.
