Calling all hoarders of rubber bits....

Well, activity on #248 has gone from nothing to light speed in a matter of one phone call. I found out that my painter is going to get me in as soon as I can get the shell over to him.....so.....

Today looks like an 8 hour strip job - most of the shell was stripped when I purchased it, so it's just a matter of the front and rear suspension, doors, hatch, glass and some interior bits.

Tomorrow it heads off to the stripper and then to Gary over at the Hack Shack (thehackshack.net) and 5 to 8 weeks later, paint should be done.

Which brings me to my cry for help. I'll be dropping off all of the suspension bits for stripping and powdercoating and need to start collecting rubber plugs and bushings, etc. Anyone know of a vendor that may have a kit? I'm not referring to suspension bushing kits - more like the plugs and grommets for the body.

I regocnize that I can pick up the majority of them from ebay (get killed on shipping charges), but thought that maybe someone may have a kit or a hoard of them sitting around.

Anyone?

Yes, Mike was involved in the Nissan program. I know that he is really the sole source for air cleaner stickers, for example. You may see them offered by other vendors too, but he makes them all.

Don't trust his website though - it may not be up to date, and may not show everything he has available. Send him an e-mail or call him instead.

As for rubber, I recently bought the grommets and seals for the fuel vent hoses from him. Great parts, good price, fast shipping. And if he doesn't have everything you need, he'll tell you that, and advise you where to go to find them, too.

Although Mike McGinnis of Banzai Motorworks did not restore any cars in the Vintage Z program, he provided detailed replica parts including identification plates to replace damaged originals. In addition to a wide assortment of rubber parts, Mike provided instructional and identification decals that were on the original production cars. Shops / people who actually restored the cars are:
