If ya gots a high speed connection, check out a 10 minute video from day three of the NFIBMT. This is on Nacemiento-Fergusson Road from Camp Hunter Ligget, Over the coastal range to Pacific Coast Highway. Ed Pasini, The founder of the NFIBMT was my Co-Pilot for day three. Don't mind our chatter, Listen instead to the car as we steam down this very narrow, winding mountain road. More to follow.

Nice video. I haven't been on that road for over 10 years. Nice to see you out doing what that car was made for rather than letting it sit in the garage. I'll add that road to the list of roads to do once I get the beast back together.

Vic, you , your mates and the topics of conversation..its all so familiar! especially the "screaming passenger"ROFL "WHAT CAN THEY SEE?!? WHAT THE HELL CAN THEY SEE ??!! ...and after all that it wasn't even close:ogre:

10/10

Victor, that's a pretty deep exhaust note. Would that be a VG30 under the hood?

Nope, LZ22. Read here. http://classiczcars.com/forums/showpost.php?p=196575&postcount=5

Awesome car, awesome road Victor.

Dammit Victor that SUCKS!........that I couldn't be there all that fun!

I'll have to get on the stick and have the Z and the Roadster ready for all the days drive events next year...and maybe post participation in an event for you to covet!

Right, It's the LZ22 block prepared by Ermish Racing. The PO had it done, so I know very little about it. I think it's set up in the "Long Rod 2.1" configuration (what ever that means!). Once again my little knowalge on L motor prepping strikes again. The head is the L16 SSS that was tooled by Rebello. 44 mm intakes is the only spec I know on the head work.

As ChrisA posted, I covered the advertised specs in a previous post. I'm still learning the car. It pleased me alot on the iron Bottom, it made nice noises and went strong with no problems. 300 miles a day of hard driving is a dam good test! I was not as confident in it's handling as I am in the roadster - but considering I have 12 years of seat time in the roadster, that's understandable.

The head is the L16 SSS...

That is a tremendous combination in itself.

From what I've learned, and then forgot as I'm into the L6's now, the L20B head when well massaged would really make a LZ22 bottom end come alive.

Back in the day when I terrorized people with a modified L20B twin carb in a butt ugly 77 200SX I always wished for a seriously tuned LZ22. I always wondered if the Z22 twin plug cross flow head could have been made into a screamer.

Thanks again for the vid Victor.

Chris A.
