This is on Nacemiento-Fergusson Road from Camp Hunter Ligget, Over the coastal range to Pacific Coast Highway. Ed Pasini, The founder of the NFIBMT was my Co-Pilot for day three. Nice to see you out doing what that car was made for rather than letting it sit in the garage. I'll add that road to the list of roads to do once I get the beast back together. Victor Laury Posted April 18, 2007 Author Share #9 Posted April 18, 2007 Right, It's the LZ22 block prepared by Ermish Racing. The PO had it done, so I know very little about it. I think it's set up in the "Long Rod 2.1" configuration (what ever that means!). Once again my little knowalge on L motor prepping strikes again. The head is the L16 SSS that was tooled by Rebello. 44 mm intakes is the only spec I know on the head work. As ChrisA posted, I covered the advertised specs in a previous post. I'm still learning the car. It pleased me alot on the iron Bottom, it made nice noises and went strong with no problems. 300 miles a day of hard driving is a dam good test! I was not as confident in it's handling as I am in the roadster - but considering I have 12 years of seat time in the roadster, that's understandable. From what I've learned, and then forgot as I'm into the L6's now, the L20B head when well massaged would really make a LZ22 bottom end come alive. Back in the day when I terrorized people with a modified L20B twin carb in a butt ugly 77 200SX I always wished for a seriously tuned LZ22.
