Hi guys/gals,

I am working on a multimedia system for the club and need some help. If anyone with graphic abilities can create banners, please read on.

I need a banner designed with our logo, a nice Zcar, and our club name on it. The size has to be 960x140 pixels and designed for quick loading (the web page).

Any help is appreciated and I will give full credit for the work. Shouldn't take too long.

Please reply to this message with your ideas as an attachment. Thanks!

Geez! I couldn't see the previous posts until after I posted. This whole banner thing took place a while ago. Project Z's is clearly the best.

If it's going to be a multimedia portal why not go with flash? They're going to need high speed for such a thing anyway right?

Just curious

Hi Jim,

Flash is a great idea. I don't think we've had any submissions with flash in the past, so, this is refreshing. It looks like we aren't able to preview the flash from your upload (in the thread), but, I uploaded it to the server. Here's the address: http://www.classiczcars.com/images/banners/classicZa.swf

What functions does the banner need to have? Currently the top section of the page has advertisement links on the right and a home link on the left. The multimedia portal seems to be a more dynamic website which gets people closer to information and allows faster access.

Here's a link to such a page. Don't know if I understand what you want to do but this seems like it might be it. (With a Z friendly twist of course)

I did notice a lot of Flash being used on the link above. I'll have to try that page on my mom's dial-up connection and see how bad it is. Some of our friends in Australia have slow I-net. One guy I knew only had 28K on a good day. My e-mails to him sometimes took a minute and sometimes two days to reach him for some weird reason. (Something with the server I guess??)

Anyone in Oz have the I-net probs listed above or do you live close enough to the cities that it's not an issue?
