Went to check out #357 on Ebay and it is no longer listed !!!! Does any one know what happened ????

It is strange if I go to ebay motors and type in collector cars and then Z series the car does not come up but then when I just type in the item number the car comes up !!!! Sorry guys for the miss information !!!!

Thanks for the PM, Ron. I have the original shipping information for 26th and she didn't arrive on American shores until May of 1970. What with the engine number and all, it is quite possible that she didn't see the light of day until after 357 was assembled. Interesting.

The seller actually does a pretty good job of describing this car. He obviously knows his stuff. It was probably just a slip refering to Factory air and he goes on to say it was dealer installed. The data plate pictures are decieving and I for one am overly skeptical. Could be a nice project in the hands of someone willing to take it on and not afraid to loosen the purse strings. It sure seems like a lot of money to lay out before restoration even starts though.

Just looked at as well, still listed for another 9 days 2 hrs according to ebay. I got carried away and placed a low bid last night - might wait it out and make a serious one.

A few more pictures are required though.

The emissions stuff on the engine look a lot more like my 72 than the 70 and 71 I've seen without the air pump and other associated stuff. The balance tube is cleaner on the early cars isn't it? That engine is identical to the engine in my 72. I know the AC was a dealer option and no car came with it from the factory. The heavy bracket and York pump have been removed from this car it seems. I removed ine because there was a big hole in the side of it. The bracket weighs at least 10 pounds. I also removed the interior stuff which it seems they didn't on this car. This car is the original color my car was; green/butterscotch. I do understand it was pretty rare, but can't confirm it. It seems a little fishy to me. I would stay away from it, but I do already have one so....

Just contacted the seller - he sent me shots of the valve cover about ten minutes after requested. "Not damaged, Just ugly" he said, somewhat crappy looking but no problem.

I think they're confusing the air pump with an AC unit since it's diaplayed so prominently. I can't see any other reason to show that.

If you look closely at the picture of the air pump in his auction, you will see one of the A/C lines and the bolts of a York compressor housing below the air pump.

The York was one of the dealer add-on units. For me, too many other things on this car are from later models to qualify for somewhat of a survivor car.
