Gauge cluster swap

Does any one know whats involved in swapping a digital speedo cluster to a manual speedo cluster?

A quick Googling makes me think that you need to change the wiring harness and sending units to do this swap.

A quick Googling makes me think that you need to change the wiring harness and sending units to do this swap.

I am mainly concerned w/ the speedometer because all the stuff i have is manual out of 79-80. the digital car has no tranny or motor in it, Do ya think the ecu, afm, and engine out of the 80 will work without re wiring it if i leave the digital cluster in it? I am trying to figure out the best route to take on this swap. I have an awesome running gear in my 80,but the body is completly shot! Oh yea, the digital car is an 83.
