After doing the job, do you have advice or specific areas to watch that caused you grief that you can share to make my experience a little smoother?

Jim

Its a fairly straight forward job. When you take th speedo and tach apart, just use tweezers to lift the needle and slide the faces over them.

The other 2 split gauges had to be glued and taped in place, They said use dble sided tape included, but there was none, so I used elmers glue and a little scotch tape in the corners to hold them while the glue set. The clock was easy.

Cool so how does it work? Do you have to use a special light in the original bulb location or do these faces wire to the inverter box/controller supplied directly? Very cool.

I have asked if they a the volt meter type and if they can do the calendar clock faces too.

They work on the principal of Electro Luminescence. Yes, they are wired to the controller sold with the gauge faces. I think you would remove the stock bulbs to avoid backlighting.

Primer on Electro Luminescence (EL for short).
