i am cleaning up my 76. unbolting everything and wiping everything down. this can hasnt been cleaned since at least 96. so sad.

so it all looks good except for the booster and the big black bracket for the fusible links.

then it begins. i could nt take it, so i took out the booster, the bracket thing, the coil and the bracket for the booster check valve.

heres how the booster turned out.

all i did was sand it with 180 and 400 sand paper, clean it, primer and paint it.

i know its not a perfect match, but i does look really close to my 77 that is still shiney.

opinions?

thanks

tony

Very nice job! Looks brand new.

Did you just mask off the labels with masking tape prior to sanding and painting?

i used 3m blue painters tape. just carefully cut out the sticker. slowly. very slowly.

then paint away.
