April 30, 200717 yr comment_207701 It is called Zitus,There is no known cure, though working on a Z, buying more Zs, and dusting an occasional ricer have all been known to give temporary relief from the symptoms. The good news is this affliction is absolutely infectious. That is to say if you have a significant other, he she or it is more than likely also infected-so you will have twice the time, energy and money going into your Z soon! The only downside of Zitus is withdrawl when you cant see, touch, work on, spend money on, or drive your Z-or when this site goes down!A quick Z fix is to buy a club shirt or hat and keep it with you when you travel! A club CD can offer guidance when something needs to be ordered or put back together(the CD has parts numbers and exploded diagrams)-some members even use them as teddybears! Imagine how great Radars enlistment would have been if he had had one. No body making fun of the Teddy bear, wouldn't have had to mail a jeep home, chick all over him without lessons from Hawkeye...Will Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/24147-hello/#findComment-207701 Share on other sites

April 30, 200717 yr comment_207718 It was obviously way WAY too early for one of our biggest "pushers" on the site. Just about EVERY recommendation he made doesn't DIMINISH the addiction mania to Z's.....it INCREASES it. You'd think he gets a commission on each person hooked......So, relief? Not really, unless you count getting so thoroughly involved that you start obsessing over the slightest detail and getting totally skewed in your perceptions. Stuff such as obsessing over the color match of an item from a PICTURE that someone posted on this site with regards to how it looks on your home monitor and the ACTUAL piece....and ARGUING about it....are clear indications that you're too far gone for even this site. This site is mostly for the type of individual who wants it fixed, wants it to run and look right...even if it's slightly modified but isn't obsessed on whether you've pronounced the quality control inspector's name from the stamp on the back of the speedometer. But we DO have some of those. So, if you were looking for ways of NOT liking the Z....well, post that and we'll send you a PM, otherwise...this site will do NOTHING in that regard. In fact, you might as well make space in the garage, your garden shed, the basement, attic and other well known storage spaces in order to store all the parts you'll be wanting and getting. Just a note, since you're young now and presumably not married...bumpers and other sheet metal parts aren't viewed by the majority of the mothers, significant others and live-in girlfriends as acceptable bedroom accessories...even if you do have a fuzzy set of handcuffs dangling from the bumper. So, don't get into the habit now and you won't be forced to move them or sell them or worse yet, come home and discover they've been.....'disposed' of (shudder...!)So welcome, and enjoy the site.EP.S. Just be careful of Will....he likes to do work on several cars at once and before you know it he's got you buying more just to keep up..... I guess I did get a little carried away(or maybe I should have been...)E-quit giving away my methods! Not everyone can convice another member to keep a pair of fuzzy dice in acar just because they cleaned up after soaking up restoration dust!
