Well what do you guys think, should I put mine back on or just leave it off?

I'd say if you have it, put it on. I've had mine off for a while and didn't notice anything different but I guess Nissan put it there for a reason. The odd thing is my 810 though it has the same basic setup as the Z doesn't have that part or even a provision to mount one.
