basically i know a 76 tranny would fit in a 240z, obviously, but there shouldnt be any problems right? cause im about to buy one. tonight.

hey umm i think i found a problem..

You won't have that issue on a '73, if you had a '70 or early maybe an early '71, could be a different story...

really, my z came with a 5spd,. you think its cause the shifter is off? i have no clue where it came from. but, it shifts smoothly, i think its the shifter thats not shifting all the way.. possibly,

i just dont want to jump to conclusions and buy it. even though if i regret fixing it and it would work, plus im poor and i get paychecks monthly hahaha. so i gotta conserve money :tapemouth

change tranny fluid.

upgrade to nissan compition shifter kit.

or just by the damn tranny ahha.

Are all three bushings there and in good shape? The two that the pin goes through to hold the shifter in place and the one on the bottom of it?
