Who will be at the Datsun Driving Canby Fun event?

Recommended Posts

If you folks coming from the North can estimate what time you'll be getting off I-5, maybe Deanna and I could try to hook up with the group there, and join the caravan.

Good news! I got time off work so this will work out. I'm really looking foward to this as this will be the first car show that I have entered my car in!:D Definitely won't be the prettiest by any means as it's primer, but will still be a hoot.

I don't think we will be able to join you guys on the drive down as we're going to be driving down Saturday.:ermm:

Mike,

Just a little clarification on your comment about the fees being lower instead of donating to charity. It is our best intention to keep the prices at the most reasonable level possible. Because this show is so "young" we do not have a lot of history to go back on and have to do the best we can with what we know. Last year we had a great turnout and ended up with a few extra bucks when all was said and done. Rather than let that money sit idle, we decided to donate some of the proceeds to charity. As the event grows and the club gets a better handle on associated costs, we will continue to evaluate and determine what gets the enthusiast the best "bang" for their buck. We are a non-profit group with no paid members or board - so making money is not why we are here. We are here to try and provide a venue for all Datsun/Nissan enthusiasts to enjoy each other's cars at a fair price that doesn't end up putting the club in any sort of financial hardship.

Having said that, we welcome all comments and feedback. It is my hope that the show committee is able to put comment cards in all the registration packets as well as have them available at the show. I am not in the "registration" committee, so I don't know if that will be the case, but be assured that there will be comment cards available and PLEASE use them because it helps us provide the show that the enthusiasts want. Sorry for the long winded response. We appreciate any and all support from the Datsun/Nissan Community.

Cheers,

Andy Klink

Treasurer, Datsuns NW

Can someone send me the link to the Canby event? I know that the Bend area group has made it over to Blue Lake, but I did not know about the event in Canby. Might be a good reason to go for a drive......

Thanks

Bob by all means make the drive it will be worth it . Maybe you can hook up with the other Z drivers in the Bend area and a new one in Sun River. I posted to this old thread on purpose to bring it up to refresh members awareness of the Show. I don't think any one will be disappointed at all. How could it miss with all of our Zs there. LOL Gary:rambo:

Perhaps I can tow the Silver with the Burgandy. LOL,

In the 2 previous Canby events, a great time was always had. Good Datsun/Nissan folk from all over the western US and Canada. In 2005 a beautiful early 1200 roadster showed. Was bought here locally by someone from Central Canada I think. The restoration they completed was a thing of wonder. It was the highlight of the show, IMO. I think it was the long distance winner as well. Very cool and just some of the things available to see.
