Who will be at the Datsun Driving Canby Fun event?

Recommended Posts

.... The entrant list is approaching 100 vehicles for the show spanning nl320 pickups from the mid 60s to 350Zs with pretty much everything in between. For those interested in learning about the array of machines put out by NISSAN, this will be a pretty good show to study at.

The club, Datsuns Northwest, has purchased extra dinner tickets for Saturday nights video, music, and get aquainted session. Ask at registration when you check in if you plan on staying for that fun event.

So Bruce,

If there are about 100 cars registered for the judging, you think it will top 200 cars? I bet it will beat 200 by quite a few. What is the goal? How many will fit in the area rented? With the swap meet and camping, I'll bet there will be alot to look at.

Only time will tell how many show up. Seems like I heard give or take 200 last year at one counting.

For you wanting to caravan from the north northwest, you might take a look at meeting up in greater metro Scholls and hotfooting it over Chehalem Mountain into Newburg and on over thru Donald to Canby. It is a great 510 road, full of twistys......

I will be coming on Sunday with my 6 year old son. He loves my 240, and he's never seen another one, so I think he'll flip when he sees a bunch of them together all nice and everything.

Hopefully my Z will be ready to go...(to park in parking lot)...I need to replace exhaust manifold and not sure if I'll have time to get it done.

Portland people--pm me if you are getting together pre-sunday of show if you want my son and me to come with you....

Short comments:

Unless it is pouring rain, Deanna and I will be there on Sunday in our red 240Z.

All the hooraw aside, I'm glad that Datsuns NW is willing to sponser this, as it gives me an excuse to go look at cars and meet with friends.

I still refuse to take any of this too seriously, nor too personally. I'm just here to hang out and have fun.

Finally, I'm not really convinced that this is the best place for all this discussion. Not sure that the rest of the Z world cares about our Datsun politics here in the Pacific NW.

Sorry I have not been in this thread lately, I seem to be having an issue with e-mail notification to threads that I have posted to...

~Brian

I haven't had a notification for almost 2 weeks. I clicked on the site and found I had a butt-load of private messages that I did'nt know about. Is there a problem with the site??

Anyways, I planned on going but the finances are kicken my butt again. Trying to find a baby-sitter for 5 kids, who are almost out of school for the year, is pretty damn hard. Any takers?

I don't think we'll be there and forgot about registering until the 11th, when I found I was too late anyways.

Dave.

**EDIT***

Me and Leah will be there on Sunday. We're leaving Marysville at 5:45 in the morning and should be there with Gary (Beandip) and the gang by or about 10am.

For all those interested, we're meeting at the rest stop on I-5 around 9 to 9:30. Located just after exit 282 southbound. We're gonna try and leave there about 9:30. So anyone interested in joining the caravan inbound to the event is welcome, as far as I'm concerned.

I'll be bringing 5)Headlight and 2)Parking light Harness's as well as 2 ZX adaptor plugs. I'll also be bringing a new'ish 240Z alternator and regulator as well as a few other items up for sale.

Hope to see as many of you as possible,

Dave (and Leah)

Hi , sports fans . At last count there will be 8 Zs at the Road Side Rest on I-5 and we leave at 9:30 sharp. For anyone that is coming from the Beaverton / Hillsboro area there is a group of us meeting at the Arco station at Hi way 26 and Cornell. Across from the entrance to Oak Hills and leaving there at 9:00 sharp to meet the others on I-5. there is forecast showers , which could mean sunny . What ever we wont melt , Right ? It will be great to see everyone and put a face to a name. Looking forward to the show it should be great. Gary
