300zx vs Corolla

Corolla = Geo Metro

Actually the Geo Metro was a Suzuki something or other... at least the POS 91 Geo that we have was made by Suzuki. (Proving that not all Japanese cars are worthy of ownership.)

I have been told that there was a Geo that was based on a Toyota model, but I do not know which one it was.

In any event the fact that GM PURCHASED a car from Toyota or Suzuki and private labeled it does not in any way taint the Corolla. It is still a Toyota, made by Toyota.

Anyone Know if the Alfa Romeo Spider veloce is a good car I like the way it looks even the 80s variation looks like it could pass for a 90s. There are a couple listed in my area around the $2000-$4000 range hmm. Maybe I will end up purchasing something in the small car: Miata, triumph, MG, Fiat, Alfa Romeo range. LOL.

Thanks guys for all the responses and help I really appreciate your support thats what makes this Forum so great. Even if its not Z related you guys contributed your own time just to supply me with a few thoughts and words of advice thanks again.

Well, I was under the impression that the Turbo models got 5 stud hubs, and the NA got 4 stud hubs, but maybe that was only in Australia.

The story is a bit muddy with this topic. I have seen a couple of '84 hardtop Turbo's with the four lug hub. The standard is a five lug hub for Turbo's beginning in '84. The N/A in '84 and '85 had four lug hubs but the wheel design was similar to the Turbo.

In '86 (one year only bodystyle--flared fenders and rocker panel extensions) the N/A came with five lug hubs as did the Turbo's. The wheel size was different with the N/A 15" wheels and the Turbo's had 16" wheels.

This would stay the same until 1989.

In Australia I don't believe you guys got the '86 bodystyle pictured above. Did you ever get the '87 to '89 body that came to the U.S.?

In Australia (As far as I know - and i'm not an expert on Z31's, though I do have an 86 turbo) we only got the 2+2 which stayed the same style from 84, until it was replaced with the revised later model one (in 87 or 88 i think).

The early version had a turbo model which had 5 stud hubs, and the NA had 4 stud hubs. The guards had the early style wheel arches until the rounder model with the revised look (smaller tail lights, rounder front end, different bonnet) replaced it. whereas your 86 model got the rounder smoothed out wheel arches.

I couldn't say whether the later model Z31 had 4 stud hubs or not.
