Posted July 28, 200222 yr comment_11482 Hi all I wonder If anyone can help, I've just completed a 350 mile round trip in my zed and now it's began to splutter on idle, I've found that the front carb on my triple weber 40 setup is dripping out fuel out can anyone shed any light on this? when it's rpm is raised it stops. Any help would be great Thanks. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/2429-weber-fuel-leak/ Share on other sites
July 28, 200222 yr comment_11483 Just a guess but maybe the float needs to be adjusted. At low rpm, the float is filling up and overflowing - at higher rpm, the amount of fuel being used is more than what can fill into the float. August 14, 200222 yr comment_12906 I agree... Make sure to adjust both upper and lower limit for the float. I recently had the same problem and found that one of my floats was droppind down too far. This could sometimes allow the needle to jam and allow unrestricted fuel flow into the carb. I found this usually happened after running the car hard.
