Unfortunately, Texas has all the rust issues that the rust belt has. Just takes three or four times longer for deterioration. I have three Texas Z's with bad floors, doglegs, frame rails, lower door and fenders, and rear wheel flare rust. Our problem is lots of dust, which eventually settles and works it's way into these areas. This intern turns the dust into a moisture sponge starting the internal rust-out problems. The magnitude of these problem is far less the the rust belt, and northeastern states. I guess what I saw in the pictures didn't seem that bad. But, It's not my car, and I was just voicing my opinion. I just hate to see anyone get started on a project, and end up with a garage full of parts and shells.

Anyone need any parts,or some rollers with minimal rust?

That was exactly what I ment with "The difference between a rusty car in Texas and one in Washington is years of life." in the earler post!

On a low vin, taking it slow and being thorough is the only way I would go.

I am collecting parts for a car I don't even have yet because of that.
