My first in person sighting!

240ZX

Recommended Posts

Well, Mother's Day I had just finished up a MTB ride and was pulling out onto the Pacific Coast HWY just south of MUGU rock. Anyway, as I'm watching traffic go by so I can merge, I see this very low silver convertible approaching and of course I'm wondering what the heck it could be......WOW, it's a Porsche GT live and inperson!!! Oh, the sounds were heavenly and as one might imagine quickly disappeared out of sight. Man, what an absolutely awsome looking machine....shoot, I'd even trade my 240Z for it......like anyone would take me up on that offer! Anyway, it was very cool to see this car in person, however briefly! Just thought I'd share my Oh wow with you all!

Tom

LOL That is funny Mat. He's an entrepreneur in healthcare. I haven't riden in the F1 though, he says my chest is not big enough for that. Next time I'm at the storage facility, I'll take some pictures and share. He has a collection all of us would almost give our right hands for.

Wow, that would be something to see. Not too many exotic cars around here. There are 2 Ford GT's maybe 3 Vipers, a Lamborghini Diablo, and a Lotus Esprit V8. If you consider the Corvette Z06 rare, i guess there are a few of those too.

I ran into a Carerra GT a while back, and it was over in the Arden Area. For anyone who isn't familiar with the Arden area, it's not the nicest, but not the trashiest place. Definitely somewhere you wouldn't keep your Carerra GT. I'm guessing he didn't live there.

I've also spotted Murcielagos, Diablos, Lotus-es, and a few Ferraris. Pretty rare for Sacramento, LOL. I have been within four feet from a McLaren F1, but it was sadly behind glass. This was over in the Los Gatos area, down by San Jose. It was at the Silicon Valley Auto Group (I think thats what they are called) and they had it inside their showroom, along with a couple Saleen S7's. Parked outside was a plethora of Ferraris and Lamborghinis. I can say I have had a handful of Ferrari and Lamborghini...it was great. LOL
