May 16, 200717 yr comment_209729 It installs from the top of the tank-you have to lower the tank to change it out. Will Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/24352-floater/#findComment-209729 Share on other sites

May 16, 200717 yr comment_209751 Are you thinking 280 or Roadster, Will? The "floater" or gas tank level sensor aka tank sending unit... referred to as the "Tank Unit" on the wiring schematic, is removeable from the upper front SIDE of the gas tank, and can be removed with the tank in the car, although a bit of a PITA. Take your Right Rear tire off after elevating the car on jack stands, and you should be able to get to it. FWIW E P.S. Or were you still in Landlord/Tenant Plumber mode? May 16, 200717 yr comment_209789 I believe he has a 240 so, EScanlon would be correct....it's located at the front of the fuel tank and is pretty simple to replace without lowering the tank. Just be sure, when installing the new unit, you get a good seal between the tank and the mounting plate!Tom Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/24352-floater/#findComment-209789 Share on other sites
