Mike Posted May 15, 2007 Share #1 Posted May 15, 2007 I've just completed a new modification to the Classic Zcar Club. A new profile system has been added and gives any member the ability to totally customize their own profile (very similar to a "My Space" page). This is one of the coolest additions I've come up with for the site, so, don't forget to check it out!! To see any profile, simply click on the username and view the profile. You can modify your own profile within the system as well. I will be making changes to the profile system over the next few weeks by adding ports to our photo gallery and other cool features. Check it out! Click HERE to see my profile now. Have fun!

Mike Posted May 15, 2007 Author Share #4 Posted May 15, 2007 Hi guys... how many questions is it asking? The new system will give you the ability to profile your car better, show off some video, and other stuff....I just added a link on the top so you can open the old forum profiles.Oh, and if you don't think we need items in the profile area... just let me know. The profile area can be used for networking (with people), blogs, comments, etc.... If we decide this is too much, I can remove pieces that we don't think are necessary. With that said, if we removed networking and comments, I think the system will work very well for people to keep journals (blogs) and show off details about their car with photos and specs. CoastGuardZ Posted May 15, 2007 Share #5 Posted May 15, 2007 Mike,I think it's awesome. I also think that more people will come to appreciate it once it's been around awhile. I finished the basic stuff in 10 minutes and I look forward to tweeking it when I get home from work.Nate

240ZX Posted May 15, 2007 Share #8 Posted May 15, 2007 It's a nice feature and some will like it and some won't but I quess knowone is obligated to use it....you know, that free will thing! I like the added versitility of it but I decline from giving too many specifics, considering it's access is available to the entire planet. Mike Posted May 15, 2007 Author Share #9 Posted May 15, 2007 The system has the ability to control who will see your information. For instance, you can set it up to only show your address and email to people in your "network" or explicitly allow. You have complete control as to how much people see about yourself. Our old system didn't have this ability.

jmark Posted May 16, 2007 Share #11 Posted May 16, 2007 Mike,Is there still a place to see when the last time a member accessed the forum?
Carl Beck Posted May 20, 2007 Share #12 Posted May 20, 2007 Can the old Profile System be put back on-line? The new and improved system contains even less data...and it isn't looking like EVERYONE is going to re-enter the most basic information for themselves.Carl B.
