L28 turbo

i have a 1978 280z with a L28,fuel injected,4 speed,...do you guys know of anyone that makes a turbo kit for a L28,....and i would rather not do a engine swap,..but if i have to i will cause i want the 5th gear,...and i may get a custon gear with the ratio real low soo i can ,...fly... if need be,LOL,..oh and has anyone heard of someone supercharging their l28? i was thinking about trying a eletronic supercharger,but i like the sound of a pulley,..haha

I would just find a L28ET and 5-Speed and do a swap like that.

If not, depending on what your current L28 has, you might have to replace everything except for the block to get it turbo'd and handle the pressure and run good. Lots of money right here.

If you get a L28ET I wouldn't bother with a supercharger. L28ET isn't intercooled and the turbo only pushes 6psi. Its maximum efficiency is 15psi, so you can still get a bunch of power out of the L28 with a good intercooler.

Other then that I would just find some V8 and drop it in.

Find a good turbo motor, exhaust manifold, turbo, injectors and AFM, and swap that right into your car. I suggest the 82-83 5 speed for a turbo swap. It has a log first gear and a good overdrive. Non turbo Zs can use the Maxima tranny, it has a short first gear and a slightly better overdrive.
