72240Z Posted June 3, 2007 Share #1 Posted June 3, 2007 I'm looking for a clean (non-race) poster of an early Z. I haven't yet found much. I think one of the suppliers has a technical drawing, and I've found one small poster on epay. I'd like something in a 24x36 size or so that would be appropriate on the wall of my stall at work (Nissan dealer), so no girlie pictures etc.Devin
BD240Z Posted June 3, 2007 Share #2 Posted June 3, 2007 Devin,I don't know of any available posters for Z's other than the one for the Black Pearl which I've seen for sale at local car auctions. I see you've looked on Ebay, that's where I'd continue to look.As an option, a friend of mine is a Porsche 968 fanatic and he took a number of pictures of his car and several other 968's and then had a poster created by a local graphics house. It turned out great, I don't remember the cost though. Good luck with your search.Bruce
DeesZ Posted June 3, 2007 Share #3 Posted June 3, 2007 What "size" would be of interest? I have a friend who knows something about this type of work, and I've floated an inquiry to her. No response yet, but I know the question of 'size' will come up real early in a discussion. Let me know how much interest there is in this as well. I have a background in printing, and from experience know that there is a better per unit price as the quantity increases. The majority of the costs are associated with preparation and set-up. boyblunda Posted June 4, 2007 Share #4 Posted June 4, 2007 The ZCCA produced a poster some time ago and these sometimes pop up on ebay - some were signed by Mr Katayama and are thought to be more collectible. See this thread. http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?t=22646&highlight=Katayama+Poster Hope this helps.

Carl Beck Posted June 4, 2007 Share #6 Posted June 4, 2007 I believe that the Nissan Dealers gave away free copies of that - sometimes you see them on E-Bay.FWIW,Carl B.
webdawg1 Posted June 5, 2007 Share #7 Posted June 5, 2007 I believe the MSA catalog has a few posters listed. Numbers I show listed are:70-2002 24" x 18"70-2003 8.5" x 11"70-2004 8.5" x 11"webdawg1
26th-Z Posted June 5, 2007 Share #8 Posted June 5, 2007 Pat, The last time I saw that poster for sale it was well over $200. The old original Z promotional posters are very collectable and pricey. If you think these are rare, try the racing posters! Or the rally posters! I have this poster I would sell - 24x36 size. I took the photo.
Panamared Posted June 5, 2007 Share #9 Posted June 5, 2007 I print for a living and I don´t think it is to expensive to reproduce a very good quality image that size. The price depends on the picture, some people have better cars and eyes to take pictures.Im far but i can print some images and send them to you, if you pay the shipping they are yours (just send the picts) I can print on polyester with a very very good quality. Another fact is that they can be rolled to a very small size . And after that you can mount them using a wood frame just like a canvas frame. Ron Carter Posted June 5, 2007 Share #11 Posted June 5, 2007 There is the dream garage poster, but the large ones of them are pretty expensive and the racing posters are big money now too...good luck and let us know what you find.
72240Z Posted June 6, 2007 Author Share #12 Posted June 6, 2007 Still looking....I have in mind something around 24x36, I have this huge white space with nothing on it. I don't have a specific image, as somebody said there are those with a good eye for shots, and I'm not one of them. A blown up reprint of an original ad would be OK too.Devin
