Posted June 4, 200717 yr comment_211294 Any thoughts on this? I haven't been able to find it anywhere and I can't make out the center cap. Thanks, Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/24498-unidentified-rim/ Share on other sites
June 6, 200717 yr Author comment_211416 Apparently they are JDM. They are marked 7-jj-x14 with 0 off set, but don’t seem to have an identifiable brand. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/24498-unidentified-rim/#findComment-211416 Share on other sites

June 7, 200717 yr comment_211519 It says it all on the cap,, They are Chowini Racing. Made in Japan. possibly casted on spec by Hayashi. Peter Chowini was a famous Toyota Celica racer from Macau, who made is name wining throughout the pacific in the 70's. He ran a very successfull Toyota tuning shop and authored many aftermarket parts, sought for by AE86 and earlier Toyota vintage enthusiast.Do you have all 4? A set recently sold on the club4ag forums. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/24498-unidentified-rim/#findComment-211519 Share on other sites
June 7, 200717 yr comment_211522 Victor, I believe the design did actually originate at Hayashi Racing, and that they manufactured them with a little 'badge engineering' for anybody who wanted to put their own name on them. Haruhito Yanagida's Z-specialist shop 'Central 20' requested a special version called the 'Z Sport' wheel.
