Posted June 4, 200717 yr comment_211312 I am trying to help the original/owner builder of this Z locate his car. I know this Z is not many folks cup of tea here at ClassicZCar but I also know there are many well connected Z lovers on this site. More info can be found half way down this page. http://zlalomz.googlepages.com/streetimsa Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/24501-please-help-find-this-imsa-z/ Share on other sites

June 9, 200717 yr comment_211738 Not the Same Car - but somewhat like it. Note the difference in the rear quarter panel treatment. I like the one in Austraila a bit better in that regardThe one pictured below may have been in Australia... Don't have a record of who owned it... It is on the Z Car Home Page in the Photo Albums. IS THIS IT? Caption said:A highly modified 280Z (turbo) in "Street Prepared" car show. June 11, 200717 yr Author comment_211889 Carl B. the black one I've been told is connected to Pierre Z in L.A. The last I heard was it was sold to someone in Japan. I tried to get more photos from Pierre but with no luck. Enigma. I talked to the owner of the red one and the flares were done recently. The car I am looking for was built by Sport Perfomance in northern Ca.Thanks everyone for any leads. June 11, 200717 yr Author comment_211969 It was Sport Performance and Joel Anderson. Scott Performance was in the same industrial complex at the same time. Hi Carl, If your comparison was between ZWOLF, and the Gray car. I think that the body kits are very similar, if not the same. Attached is a photo from roughly the same angle for comparison. The difference in the bumpers creates a dramatic visual difference. Really makes the gray car rear quarter look longer. June 11, 200717 yr Author comment_211987 Here is part of the e-mail from the original owner. Zwolf's flares look like they were molded from these original ones. "The bodywork was done in San Jose, by Steve Doudy at Sport Performance. They created the molds from either Joel's orFrank's parts. The flares were lower than the original race flares so thatthe cars wouldn't have much space between the tires and fender lip."
