Goose52 Posted June 6, 2007 Share #2 Posted June 6, 2007 I bought my car new in September 1972 and immediately named her Brandy - after the song of the same name (Brandy - You're a Fine Girl) by the Looking Glass. I just Googled it and this song was the number one hit for only one week on the Billboard chart of August 26, 1972 - about 2 weeks before I bought the car. I still have a brass plaque on the console that says "Brandy - 13 September 1972." This is the second plaque that I just installed last year - the original finally got too scratched up after 34 years of service...
albert_ey Posted June 6, 2007 Share #3 Posted June 6, 2007 I haven't named my Zed, but I was wondering what you refer your Z as, male or female. I haven't decided on the sex of my car. I would like to know everyone else's feeling, it seems to me that this car is a very "manly" car(I don't mean to offend anyone). It's just that I find some what offensive when some one walks up and tells me that I have a "cute" car. Your thoughts?

280z1975 Posted June 6, 2007 Share #5 Posted June 6, 2007 I have recently decided the name of my car is "Wooo Turbo" after the expression my wife makes every time I do a little big of 'spirited driving'. Couldn't think of a good name till she keep saying "Wooo Turbo, cool down" all the time in the car. I thought it was suiting.

26th-Z Posted June 6, 2007 Share #7 Posted June 6, 2007 Welcome to the club of wierdos, Darbji. Obviously you have not met the royal highness Her Majesty the 26th, Garage Queen. She is sister of the Princess 27th in direct lineage and related to the great RAC Rally warriors HS30-00026 and HS30-00027 through a marraige of convenience arranged in Japan. Both Her Majesty and the Princess are Japanese spinners and exist soley for driving pleasure because of the family creed; "Enjoy the Ride". 1 Bravo 6 Posted June 6, 2007 Share #9 Posted June 6, 2007 G'Day Darbji, As 26th-Z said, welcome. You'll often see me refer to "Precious". She's a '74 260Z Sports Coupe. My wife gave her the name "Precious" some years ago. I still don't know whether it's because "Precious" is "Precious" to me or due to how much I've spent on her. albert-ey, I guess I've answered your question as well huh ????????? As to WHY, ... well, being a typical red blooded, macho Aussie bloke, I'd feel rather self conscious admitting that I was madly in love with a car named Fred. Rick. :devious: :devious:
webdawg1 Posted June 6, 2007 Share #10 Posted June 6, 2007 So what's the big deal?? I thought EVERYBODY named their cars... My cars name is Papa Smurf...(It's BLUE) Well...at least for now...Will be going to a metallic silver at some point down the road...So I'll probably need to come up with another name like Silver Smurf or some other Smurf name... webdawg1
jerryh Posted June 6, 2007 Share #11 Posted June 6, 2007 I recently started an affair with a 35 year old red head, we are searching each other out before we get into name calling, but she has a lot of spirt left in her.
