Am I the only one whose named their Z?

Oh, and mine is 'Bluedini II' which is just a carry over from the name of a 510 I once owned. My 320 pickup is 'Woodstock' and the 810 is simply 'Brown' because my brother say it looks like the UPS color.

Just "The Z" ,"Z car" and "poor Z car". Never could figure out the sex of mine. Maybe it can't make up it's mind which sex it is with all of the color changes over the years. This in NO way implies anything about the owner:)

I entered mine in a Halloween Car show and it has been called the Z Pumpkin Mobile since.

Only one of my Zs has gotten a name, Bacon, because the paint literally looked like uncooked bacon when I got it. The other one has not told me her name yet. My 510 is the Banana Boat. I too think they are all female, as are ships, aircraft, etc, although I can't explain why.

They are females to you because you are subconsciously attracted to them. Maybe not sexually, but nevertheless, you don't want to be attracted to a guy. Why I, on the other hand, feel they are female... I'm not so sure.

I've named all of my cars, but I'm having a ridiculously tough time naming the Z. Part of it has to do with the car's gender...I can't really figure it out. It's like a parrot, they need genetic tests to determine their genders(or you can wait 'til they lay an egg!).

My first two cars, Plymouth Furys, were female. The first was a '68 named Maybelle, after her first owner, Maybelle Etheridge of Vallejo, CA. I still have the cancelled check that paid for her in '69. The second Fury was a '72 named Leslie, someone else had scrawled this in big letters on a spare part that I had for her. She was a patrol car and still had police wheels, a spotlight, pushbars, dogdish hubcaps, a police radio, CB and FIVE antennas. My grandpa's '83 LTD wagon lasted 5 days in my care before blowing a casting plug right out of the back of one of the heads and warping both heads due to a stuck thermostat. Having never owned a car with such minimal instrumentation, I had no idea that a red 'check engine' light meant 'PULL OVER NOW!' I had to pay $50 for someone to take Grumpy (aptly named, don't you think?) off my hands. I kinda wish I'd kept him. My grandpa died later from complications after surgery.

The Z? I can't figure it out. I've had him / her / it for 3 years now and I'm still at a loss. Of all the cars, it's been through the most. I've moved twice, changed jobs 3 times, spent 5 months away in training with the Air Force, changed out the headgasket and timing chain, changed the carbs, changed the wheels and back again (found a huge crack in one of the new wheels), put on an airdam, and now I'm in the process of stripping it down to the metal in prep for a full repaint. A full suspension rebuild is in the works after I've saved back up. This car's had the most work done to it of all the cars I've owned and it's been driven the most.

...you'd think I'd have the poor thing figured out by now!

The Tree Fiddy Zee

None of them had a gender, all were (are) gender neutral machines.

To clear up the gender confusion, ALL Zs are girls. The JDM name is the Fairlady Z changed to the 240z to appeal to American (can u say "dumb" sometimes) tastes. So if you can't decide whether or not your Z is male or female I suggest you look to your innerself and ask is it the car that is causing the confusion or is it you.

My girls have name's for all of our vehicles, and they call my Z 'RoxZ'. As far as I'm considered all cars are females because they demand so much money and attention, but my girls have decided that some vehicles are male. We curently have a George, a Betsey, and a Lucy.

My girls also argue about who's going to inherit RoxZ, even though it's far from completed.
