wheel opinions

You still have an offset issue. You should be using between zero and maybe +10 at most. As a 5.5" wide rim, they will be tucked way in with +27 offset.

I'm thinking you meant -27mm offset....a +27mm (1.063") offset would move the wheel out.

Thanks for all the info, seems like a toss up if they will fit. I really like the nissan snowflake wheels on the later Z's but they seem hard to find. The guy i bought them from is restoring a 510 and said his neighbor does body and paint and to check him out. I found a pic with these wheels on this dudes toyota van

No Tom, negative offset moves the tire and rim outboard. Positive offset moves the wheel spokes out which in turn, moves the tire and rim inboard. All modern cars use a high positive offset which moves the spokes out leaving more room for the knuckle. This creates less king pin offset and a proper scrub radius.

In the case of these wheels, a +27mm offset will tuck the tires way in. Since they are so narrow, the tires probably won't rub on the struts, but they will give the car a narrower track width by over two inches versus stock.

Aha! I recently purchased an 86 non-turbo. Thanks for the info.

Cool. Another Z31 owner. I have two '86 hardtops at the moment and they are great for cruising the 940 miles from door to door when I visit family in Florida. The only thing I dislike about the 300ZX is the lack of Nissan interior trim pieces as they have stopped supporting the car at Nissan.

I have owned one of mine for a little more than 5 years and I have dealt with alot of the common issues so if you have a question let me know.
