Hi Sean:

Great trip report and great photos - and I'm really glad you made it to the places you did. I've been though that same route several times. I'm somewhat surprised that Crazy Horse isn't far more complete by now... most of his face was done 20 years ago.

When you went through Custer State Park - did any of these guys (see below image) stop you to say hello? I had a picture of a buffalo with his face at my drivers side window, lookin in at me - but I can't find it now. I hope you got to see the heard at the park.... sometimes you have to drive right through them when they are on the road... Amazing how BIG they are..

Glad to hear you make it home safely...

FWIW,

Carl B.

Sean - awesome pics!! Must say I am envious of you! Being here on the East Coast, I don't have much opportunity to see America's Heartland, especially driving it in a Z!

Great stuff - truly inspiring, makes me want to jump in and just drive....

Welcome home Sean. Thanks for sharing your trip with us. Other than the door mishap and the heat, it sounds like it was a most enjoyable drive. A true testiment of the condition and care you take of your Z. I read in another thread you think you need a new camera. I think your pictures were amazing, considering they were not taken in a controled setting, but along the way. It sure helps to have such a beautiful backdrop and stunning sunsets. Your Z looks great and right in place in such beautiful country. I'm envious of you guys that have logged this many miles in a Z.

Sean - Glad to hear your trip back to Cold Lake was uneventful. Thank you for sharing the scenery with us...and I second Ron regarding your pictures. Marc and Jeff pass on their regards.
