what's the engine worth??

i am currently working on a sbc conversion, i am pulling my l28 out. my question is what is my l28 worth?? here is a list of what is included in the package.

engine:

L28 .040 over

n47 head match ported and polished

440/240 cam

high volume oil pump

su's sm needles

intake manifold match ported and polished

6-2-1 header

280 electronic ignition

jacob's coil and wires.

k&n air filters

280zx close ratio 5-speed trans

16 lb steel flywheel

factory clutch

ss clutch line

2 1/4" exhaust w/ turbo walker muffler

and only 25,000 miles on the motor. driven 25 miles to work each day via freeway.

Sounds like a really sweet set-up. I think you put-in more money to the engine than what you would probably end up getting. I kind of have the same set up as you and I wouldn't let mine go for anything less than 1k. Personally I think that is what it's worth. But what you get might be different. Good luck!

I am in the same boat. My engine for my 73 is fresh aswell . I was going ta put it up for sale too (sbc going in). After some thought. It's getting set aside. This way if later in life I would like ta sell ROFL Or just go back 6. It wont be such A big deal @ no cost.

This will keep me open ta looking around for A sick :sleepy: Z with A bad motor. Then you can get the best of bolth with liltle cost and know how it will run.

If you are like most Z people you should know better then ta think that this is your last or only Z.LOL
