240Z Euro tail lights on eBay

Thanks, but I kinda doubt they were the last set. Someone somewhere is probably sitting on a few sets just as an investment. I haven't decided if I'm going to use them or not. Guess it depends on how the 71 looks after it is painted and back together. That's the part that is going to take the most time the rate I'm going. :cross-eye

Congrats, Keith!

glad you found a pair & picked them up...must be easier to convince the kid (dog, for those that don't know), than to convince the wife.

"Gee Honey, i'm gonna spend 500 bucks on taillights for the Z, here, why don't you just keep my left testicle in your pocket for a while.."ROFL zya, Jeremiah

Hmmm

According to my local dealer we have run out of those tail lights down under as well.

Are the American (wacky flashing brake light type) tail light assemblies still available over there? If so how much?

The reason I am asking is that my brother knows a guy that can make molds and duplicate tail light lenses. Maybe a pair of American style assemblies can be converted to euro (aussie) style by getting some amber blinker lenses made?

Not sure if the US spec taillight assemblies are still available or not to tell the truth. I know Too Intense Restorations had a set advertised on their web-site, but no price was listed. I haven't gotten the new MSA catalog so don't know if they still have them or not. Their old catalog has them listed for 98 and 108, don't know why one side is 10 dollars more than the other though. :ermm:

Newest VB catalog has them listed for 169.00 each.:tapemouth

Hmmm (cont)

If they are about US$100 each then the idea could be worthwhile. I'll see how much it is to get the lense re-made.

BTW. my local dealer had only just sold the last set they knew of (a guy had sent them a list of NOS stuff he had, including a pair of tail lights) a couple of months ago.

Arrrgghhh!
