Because the option doesn't become available without being in threaded mode. Reason being if you're in linear there's more than one post being displayed at a time therefore making it difficult to quote a single post even if the one you want is the last one in the list.

Unfortunately my company uses ActiveX and Siebel services for our database and field management so I'm stuck with Winblows until we can come up with a more suitable ActiveX clone for Linux. I'm not impressed with the new Macs. I much prefer the old PPC processors. Why they switched to Intel architecture I'll never understand.

Just click the "quote" button at the bottom of the message you want to reply. You'll have the ability to quote the user and clean up the message.

You can also use the "multi-quote" buttons if you want to reply to many different people in a single reply. Cool stuff, eh?!

Hey, Mike. I just noticed that when I edited a recent post, instead of Save, the button said Vote Now. Thought that was kinda funny...
