For the last week or so, I constantly get a Windows Information bar warning that the site has security certificate errors and that IE has blocked the website from displaying content with errors. It's not a huge deal, but it beeps at me every time I switch screens within the site and even when I try to turn it off, it continues to warn me. The beeping is getting really annoying. Can this be fixed?

I just tried with IE7 on XP and didn't see anything. I take it you're seeing a dialog in addition to the beep? If so, can you attach a screen shot? You can do this by pressing alt+PrtScn, opening up MS Paint, and pasting the captured screen. You can then save it as a JPEG file and attach it to a post.

Sorry you're having troubles, Jeff. Does it happen on all pages, the main page, or just our store? The only certificate I use is the store. It's a self-signed certificate.

Let me know if you're still getting them. I can suggest that you go into your security settings and add our URL to your "trusted sites" list.

Hey Mike, did you change anything? When I got to work this morning and checked the site, I got no certificate error message. I thought I was going crazy since I KNOW it was doing it at work yesterday afternoon. I just logged in at home for the first time today and everything was clean here too. I have been getting the errors for at least a week both at home and at work, but they are both fixed now. If you did change something, then thanks. If not, I just hope they don't reappear.

Nope, I didn't change anything related to certificates. I did clean up some of the code, however... maybe that cleared up your system?

I had a complaint from one of our members that his browser no longer worked after I fixed a bunch of things. He cleared out all of his cookies, and temporary internet files and it started to work again. Some of the stuff I did was in the core OS, so, perhaps that made a difference.

Ah, now that I think of it... maybe our site wanted to refresh a cookie on your system and the security wasn't letting it happen. Hell, who knows. No sense in bashing our heads about it now. It works. :D
