Posted July 3, 200717 yr comment_214010 Can anyone tell me what the difference in HP, torque, or just the overall difference in power is between an L26 with roundtops vs an L28 with roundtops? Both engines are stock except bolt on stuff( headers, exhaust)and the L28 is from a 76 with N42 heads. Thanks Chris. July 3, 200717 yr comment_214017 Should be good for about an 8% increase if all things are the same, compression ratio, etc. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/24772-l26-vs-l28/#findComment-214017 Share on other sites

July 3, 200717 yr Author comment_214020 Well that would be a nice improvment and the fact that my L26 smokes some it may have even lower compression then normal so the percentage may be even more. 8% I think is definatly going to be noticable. Thanks for the input Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/24772-l26-vs-l28/#findComment-214020 Share on other sites
July 3, 200717 yr comment_214021 Yep, so far as I have been able to tell that seems to be about accurate. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/24772-l26-vs-l28/#findComment-214021 Share on other sites
