I have looked here and i cant find no one that has installed a fuel cell using the stock filler and without having a big tube going from the center of thecar to the filler. I was thinking of getting a 15gal but i havent bought it yet because of this issue. im getting the car ready for a rb swap. i think that if i was to mount it a little low and raise the rear floor section i would be able to do this but not too sure im still brainstorming and its been buggin me for a few weeks any ideas will be highly appreciated. thanks..its a 75 280z

If you're not racing in a class that requires a fuel cell, I'd suggest you run the stock tank and then use a surge tank to prevent the FI pump from sucking air. A surge tank is easy to make and doesn't need to be very big at all. It will save you weight and the hassle of cutting the floor and installing the cell, and you won't need to screw with the sender, gauge, or filler neck either. http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?t=22524

I mounted a 12 gallon cell in my car and was amazed that the fuel cell was about 20 lbs heavier than the stock tank. Extra weight isn't making your car any faster.

i was asking about a fuel cell because my tank is really rusted from the inside and it has a really large dent in one side. i was thinking maybe just upgrade to a fuel cell and not have to worry about my fuel system.
