Transoformers More Than Meets The Eye!!!

It was alright. What makes it worth it is the original voice of Optimus Prime, Peter Cullen, returning to his famous role.

I can't give my full seal of apporval based on visuals. It's kind of like a car having an exotic body, but no guts underneath. Mind you, I don't expect a storytelling epic from Michael Bay, but the animated movie from 86' had more heart and soul than the current one.

Don't get me wrong, it was "cool" but not that cool. IMO.

.....The Autobot Z's were Prowl, Bluestreak, and Smokescreen back in the day. If only they had a 350Z Transformer in this film! Anyway, feel free to rip me a new one because I wasn't completely sold.

I agree with that. Great movie but the 1986 animated movie did have more of a story line and as you say "Heart and Soul".

Not many remember the animated theater movie. In the TV series I do not remember any of them ever being killed. The animated movie had no quams killing off most of the first generation it seemed. Over 20 years and I still remember that? :tapemouth Let me dust off the old VHS tapes and player.

Yeah, that really sucked. It was sort of traumatic for me as a child to watch Prime die. I still hate it that they killed off Prowl because he was a Z.

Check out the 20th Anniversary DVD if you get a chance. It's loaded with all kinds of cool stuff.

I saw the 1986 movie in the theatre twice! :) I was 8 years old back then... wow

I liked the new one as well. A 350Z would have been nice but for some reason the transformers only like to be GMC vehicles now! :D

I have the orginal Prowl 280ZX toy. It is die cast metal. My ex got it for me back in 2001. I think it cost about $100 on eBay back then. Ever since the re-issue of a few of the classic Transformers I've seen the values of thsoe particular toys drop on eBay. If the toys in the store have the orginal box they can be worth a lot. Be sure they are not just a used re-issue though.

.....Cool Prowl animation. Yeah, I have a Smokescreen reissue that is actually identical to the original. My ex-girlfirend got me that in 2004.

Note that the original Autobot line-up consisted of many imports including Japanese, German, and Italian. For some reason the film strayed away from this. I heard that VW wouldn't give up the rights for Paramount to use their Bug for Bumblebee.

In the end, money talks I suppose. GM still has a lot of catching up to do nonetheless.
